Overview
The EO search system is a thermal surveillance head for wide-area low-altitude search. It scans a designated sector, raises an alarm on detection, initiates a track and assesses threat level; it can cue tracking equipment and report target data to the command layer.
Several search heads can be networked and cross-fix a target from multiple bearings, which improves localization without adding a radar.
